Since we could plan ahead this year, we actually had a huge indoor cookout! Eric's parents, my parents, Alex and Deirdre and us, all enjoyed BBQ, corn casserole, hashbrown casserole, baked beans, etc up at Eric's parents' condo. Honestly, given the dietary restrictions of our families, I am really impressed at the gluten-free, mayonnaise-free, vegetarian options in our spread.
After dinner we gave Alex and Deirdre the grand tour of The Manhattan. It's really fun knowing someone who lives in such a cool high rise! I always feel a bit of excitement (and guilt) pressing the PH button in the elevator (no, they don't live in the 3 million Penthouse).
Anyway, so we went out to the Sky Lounge where we'll be having our Sunday Brunch after our wedding. At 8:00 there was already a packed out crowd, so we headed back to the condo to have drinks, dessert, and watch an aerial view of the fireworks
My favorite part of the whole night is, well two-fold: there are dozens of visible fireworks displays visible from one location and there is no traffic (or bugs!)
